Album Notes & Community Reviews

Rush successfully transitioned into a new decade by trimming their sprawling, side-long suites into significantly shorter, remarkably radio-friendly progressive rock hits. 'Permanent Waves' perfectly balances incredibly technical, complex musicianship with highly melodic hard rock structures, anchored by the massive success of 'The Spirit of Radio' and deeply philosophical lyricism.
