Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following Neil Peart's intensive study with jazz instructor Freddie Gruber, the percussionist radically altered his drumming technique, bringing a distinct swing to the trio's complex rhythms. The heavy, guitar-driven production aligned the veteran prog group slightly closer to 1990s alternative aesthetics. It would be their final studio effort before a prolonged hiatus triggered by immense personal tragedy in Peart's life.
