Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following Carlos Santana鈥檚 deep immersion in the spiritual jazz and fusion explorations of the Miles Davis 'Bitches Brew' era, 'Borboletta' marks his most committed foray into abstract, atmospheric jazz-fusion. While still retaining his signature Latin percussion base, the album emphasizes long, meditative instrumental improvisation and dense, ethereal synthesizer layering.
