Album Notes & Community Reviews
For their seventh studio album, the Norwegian black metal veterans further refine the groove-heavy, rock-oriented sound they pioneered on their earlier 2000s releases. Recorded largely at Sound City Studios in California, the tracks feature incredibly tight, stomping mid-tempo riffs and Frost's immaculate, driving percussion. It solidified their transition from underground purists to stadium-ready architects of 'black 'n' roll'.
