Album Notes & Community Reviews

'A Step Further' combines studio blues-rock with an extended live side, showing Savoy Brown's growing interest in long-form performance. Kim Simmonds remained the group's defining instrumental voice, while the band leaned toward the boogie structures that would shape later work. The album belongs to the British blues boom's transition into heavier, concert-oriented rock.
