Album Notes & Community Reviews
Under the enduring leadership of guitarist Kim Simmonds, the veteran British blues institution returned with a remarkably gritty, live-in-the-studio recording. Eschewing the slick production typical of the era, the album relies on raw, driving boogie-rock riffs and muscular rhythm sections. It served as a powerful revitalization for the band within the late-eighties blues-rock resurgence.
