Album Notes & Community Reviews

Aptly titled, this masterful mix showcases producer Scientist at the height of his engineering powers, meticulously stripping down and rebuilding heavy Roots Radics rhythms. Recorded at Channel One and mixed at King Tubby's, the album's cavernous basslines and extreme spatial effects helped define the heavy, reverb-drenched sound of early 1980s dancehall dub. It is an essential cornerstone of Jamaican studio experimentation.
