Marking their fifth full-length album, the German quartet noticeably slows their traditional black metal attack in favor of a distinctly doomy, mid-tempo groove. The production is incredibly dense and polished, emphasizing massive, churning guitar riffs and deeply atmospheric, occult-driven lyricism over sheer blast-beat velocity. The record successfully established a remarkably heavy, cinematic sound that prioritized ominous tension over straightforward aggression.
