Based entirely on Dante's literary epic 'The Divine Comedy', this highly conceptual work saw the Brazilian legends attempting to recapture the raw aggression of their early thrash roots. It also utilizes brief moments of classical orchestration to mirror the narrative descent into Hell. It marks the final album to feature founding drummer Igor Cavalera.
