Album Notes & Community Reviews

Split between furious live recordings and raw studio cuts, Sham 69's debut actively pioneered the working-class, terrace-chant energy of the Oi! punk subgenre. Jimmy Pursey's populist lyrical themes deliberately distanced the group from the art-school origins of the early London punk scene.
