Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping beyond standard three-chord aggression, Jimmy Pursey and his crew delivered a surprisingly ambitious, narrative-driven concept piece about the bleak realities of working-class youth. Interspersed with spoken-word vignettes detailing a day in the life of an angry teenager, the anthemic, sing-along choruses established the bedrock of the populist 'Oi!' movement. It remains a brutally honest, culturally vital snapshot of alienated British youth.
