Album Notes & Community Reviews
Exploding out of the highly fertile South London scene, the quintet's debut album is a fiercely energetic, incredibly charismatic revival of classic British post-punk. Driven by jagged, interlocking guitar lines and frontman Charlie Steen's heavily accented, deeply cynical spoken-shout delivery, the record perfectly captures the raw, sweaty intensity of their live performances. It was highly celebrated as a vital, profoundly swaggering rock debut.
