Album Notes & Community Reviews

Defined by an overwhelming sense of melancholic grandeur, 'Angels of Distress' is a touchstone of the funereal doom metal subgenre. The Finnish collective layers glacial, monolithic guitar riffs beneath sweeping synthesizer orchestrations and ethereal female vocal melodies, creating a soundscape of immense sorrow. Its painfully slow tempos are utilized not merely for heaviness, but to craft an atmosphere of profound, cinematic tragedy.
