Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released on the emerging Daptone imprint, the powerhouse vocalist and her immensely tight backing band meticulously recreate the analog warmth of 1960s traditional R&B. The production deliberately shuns modern digital techniques, resulting in a vibrant, horn-driven revivalist record that propelled them to the forefront of the modern soul movement.
