Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Keihaku Utagassen' documents the Shibusashirazu Orchestra, the large multimedia ensemble bassist Daisuke Fuwa formed in 1989. Its twenty-plus musicians, joined by Butoh dancers and stage artists, play free jazz fused with rock and punk, all composed and arranged by Fuwa. The group began a run of four consecutive Fuji Rock Festival appearances in 2000.
