Album Notes & Community Reviews

Spearheaded by the highly controversial Niklas Kvarforth, the Swedish group cemented their status as progenitors of depressive suicidal black metal. The overwhelmingly bleak, agonizingly slow guitar riffs and tortured shrieks are explicitly designed to evoke absolute despair and misanthropic hatred.
