Album Notes & Community Reviews
Written and recorded amid the stress of his father's significant health complications, Henry Laufer abandons the warm, sun-drenched R&B of his earlier work for an abrasive, suffocating electronic aesthetic. The beats are heavy and funereal, pulling heavily from the screeching industrial textures of 1990s IDM and murky doom metal. It operates as a terrifying, deeply personal expression of anxiety and grief.
