Album Notes & Community Reviews

Before forming the acclaimed Sea and Cake, Sam Prekop fronted this highly eclectic and criminally overlooked Chicago outfit. 'Duende' seamlessly blends loose, jazzy improvisational structures with folksy Americana and jagged indie rock dynamics. The album is a testament to the creatively fertile, genre-defying environment of the early 90s Chicago underground music scene.
