Deeply influenced by the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft and the rhythmic intensity of Magma, Shub-Niggurath created a terrifying masterpiece of Zeuhl. The album utilizes crushing basslines, dissonant piano clusters, and operatic, wordless soprano vocals to construct an incredibly dense, apocalyptic atmosphere. It is an ominous, scary, and profoundly heavy landmark of French avant-prog.
