Biography
Shub-Niggurath was a French progressive rock and zeuhl band from Paris, founded in 1982 by bassist Alain Ballaud from the merger of his bands *Gorgonus* and *Aspara*, and named after a Lovecraft deity. The original lineup with Jean-Luc Hervé, *Franck W. Fromy*, *Franck Coulaud*, *Ann Stewart* and Véronique Verdier released 'Les Morts Vont Vite' (1986) on #Musea#. After lineup changes the band made 'C'étaient de très grands vents' (1991), recorded 'Testament' between 1992 and 1994, and ended when Ballaud died of cancer in 1995.
