Album Notes & Community Reviews

Virtuoso violinist Matt Howden crafts a deeply romantic and melancholic take on the European apocalyptic folk tradition. Heavily utilizing live looping technology, he layers incredibly intricate, rhythmic string arrangements beneath his evocative, poetic baritone. The resulting sound is lush and intensely intimate, presenting a distinctively sophisticated and classically trained evolution of the neofolk sound.
