Hvísl stjarnanna

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Solidifying their place at the forefront of the Icelandic extreme metal movement, the Reykjavik-based quintet delivers a freezing, immensely atmospheric sophomore album. The record relies on overwhelming dissonance and intricate, swirling tremolo picking to evoke the desolate, unforgiving landscapes of their homeland. It represents a slightly more melodic, refined evolution from their incredibly abrasive debut.
