Album Notes & Community Reviews

Doug Sahm's incredibly eclectic collective continued to refine their unmistakable Texas groove on this robust, highly melodic release.[cite: 1] The tracks seamlessly oscillate between driving country-rock, soulful blues, and heavily syncopated Tex-Mex shuffles powered by Augie Meyers' iconic Vox organ.[cite: 1] It stands as a wonderfully cohesive, joyous celebration of the diverse musical heritage of the American Southwest.[cite: 1]
