Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following his legendary rediscovery during the 1960s folk revival, this mesmerizing Vanguard session captures the acoustic blues pioneer at the height of his second career. Returning to the haunting open D-minor tuning of his youth, the album showcases his impossibly delicate fingerpicking and eerily high, mournful falsetto vocals.
