Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded after his rediscovery at the Newport Folk Festival, Skip James revisits his 1930s repertoire in crisp, modern fidelity. His haunting falsetto and intricate, cross-note guitar tunings establish an intensely somber, atmospheric take on the Delta blues tradition.
