Album Notes & Community Reviews

Widely regarded as a foundational release in the folk metal subgenre, 'Wayward Sons of Mother Earth' merges aggressive thrash instrumentation with pagan lyrical themes and traditional European folk flourishes. Formed by Martin Walkyier after his departure from Sabbat, the group pioneered a distinct sonic template that influenced a subsequent generation of extreme metal bands.
