Album Notes & Community Reviews

Captured during their brief, manager-enforced 'skinhead' image phase, the band's second studio effort exhibits a gritty, unpolished transition toward muscular hard rock. Chas Chandler's production emphasizes driving rhythms and Noddy Holder's increasingly abrasive vocal style. Although a commercial failure at the time, it established the robust sonic template that would soon launch their massive glam rock reign.
