Biography
Slade is an English glam rock band formed in Wolverhampton in 1966. Noddy Holder, Jim Lea, Dave Hill and Don Powell scored six UK number-one singles in the 1970s, including 'Merry Xmas Everybody' (1973), and enjoyed a second chart life in the 1980s. Their string of stomping, misspelled hits made them the sound of British working-class glam at its commercial peak.
