Hard Times Furious Dancing

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their fifth album, Hard Times Furious Dancing, London's Snapped Ankles transmute contemporary anxieties into a cathartic, dance-floor-focused polemic. The record confronts the cost-of-living crisis and corrupt world leaders with a relentless pulse of metronomic beats, oscillating synths, and jagged, saw-toothed bass lines. Unfolding with the raw energy of an illicit warehouse party, its off-kilter electronic grooves build with escalating intensity, delivering a state-of-the-world address through the lens of furious, ritualistic movement. It is a propulsive and vital dispatch, solidifying their unique brand of motorik-driven post-punk.
