None but a Pure Heart Can Sing

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning from a lengthy six-year hiatus, the New York ensemble vastly expanded their intensely aggressive post-metal sound by incorporating massive orchestral elements and screaming saxophone runs. The ambitious thirty-minute record heavily integrates sweeping jazz improvisation and chamber strings into its blast-beat-heavy screamo foundation. It gained immense respect from critics for its overwhelming emotional scale and stunningly unique genre cross-pollination.
