Album Notes & Community Reviews
On their seventh studio album 'Reliance', Soen continues to refine their established progressive metal sound, balancing heavy, groove-laden riffs and Martin Lopez's intricate polyrhythmic drumming with atmospheric, emotive passages. The songwriting emphasizes dynamic shifts between aggressive, distorted sections and cleaner, more serene moments, often featuring piano and lush keyboard textures. Lyrically, the album explores themes of human emotion, societal critique, and personal introspection, all delivered through Joel Ekel枚f's melodic and dynamic vocal performances.
