Album Notes & Community Reviews
The eccentric Norwegian duo continued to stretch the boundaries of avant-garde black metal into bizarre, highly theatrical territory. 'Pills Against the Ageless Ills' is a dizzying concept album about an American serial killer and a pornographer, heavily utilizing jazzy interludes, clean operatic singing, and jarring genre shifts amidst extreme metal blast beats.
