Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Quintessence' is the atmospheric debut of the Quebecois solo project Sombres For锚ts, masterminded by the musician Annatar. The album weaves deeply depressive, raw black metal with extended, acoustic ambient passages, evoking a profound sense of isolation. The recording's chilling, melancholic tone has made it an essential release within the Canadian atmospheric black metal movement.
