Album Notes & Community Reviews

Jay Farrar strips back the distorted alternative rock elements of his previous work to focus entirely on the classic Bakersfield sound of 1950s country music. Featuring prominent twin fiddles and crying pedal steel arrangements, the record is a deeply nostalgic, impeccably executed homage to traditional honky-tonk balladry.
