Album Notes & Community Reviews

Jay Farrar continued to expand Son Volt's rootsy musical foundation on 'The Search', actively incorporating unexpected textures like backward guitar loops and a prominent brass section. The lyrically dense album offers a sharp, often critical examination of mid-2000s American social and political landscapes.
