Album Notes & Community Reviews

Jay Farrar's pioneering alternative country outfit leans heavily into their gritty, roots-rock tendencies for their third studio full-length. Recorded largely live in a converted Illinois rehearsal space, 'Wide Swing Tremolo' eschews polished studio techniques in favor of raw, fuzzy guitar tones and world-weary lyricism that firmly roots the band in the Midwestern tradition.
