Album Notes & Community Reviews

Originally released as a limited, tour-only CD, 'Protection Spells' is a collection of spare, intimate, and deeply melancholic recordings from Jason Molina. The album is a quintessential work of slowcore and loner folk, featuring raw, lo-fi arrangements and some of Molina's most heartbreakingly sad songwriting. It's a desolate and powerful document from one of the genre's most revered figures.
