Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Bad Moon Rising' plunges into a deeply ominous, distinctly American gothic atmosphere, utilizing severely detuned guitars and heavy droning feedback. Sonic Youth crafts a raw, nocturnal soundscape obsessed with cults, violence, and the darkest corners of Americana. The record is a terrifying, highly dissonant transition bridging their early No Wave roots with their impending alternative rock breakthroughs.
