Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Murray Street' marks a revitalization of Sonic Youth's sound, embracing melodic indie rock while retaining their signature dissonance and noise rock elements. The addition of Jim O'Rourke as a fifth member brings intricate, multi-layered guitar interplay to the album's expansive compositions. It is a warm, hypnotic record that captures the spirit of early-2000s downtown New York.
