Album Notes & Community Reviews

Spearheaded by saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings, the debut of this London-based supergroup boldly reinvigorated the modern UK jazz scene with its unorthodox tuba-and-dual-drummer lineup. 'Burn' channels furious energy through cyclical, Caribbean-influenced rhythms and deeply spiritual Afro-jazz improvisation, serving as a powerful socio-musical statement.
