Album Notes & Community Reviews

A wildly eccentric and seminal release in the development of the alternative country genre, predating the mainstream Americana movement by several years. The Chicago quartet deconstructed traditional roots music with a slow, loose, and incredibly ramshackle approach to musicianship. The resulting sound is uniquely longing and deeply influential to the underground country-rock scene.
