Album Notes & Community Reviews

Cult alt-country pioneers Souled American make a rare and welcome return with 'Sanctions'. The album continues their highly idiosyncratic take on Americana, characterized by its molasses-slow tempos, distinctively mournful vocals, and minimalist arrangements. It is a work that deconstructs traditional country and folk forms, creating a sound that is haunting, strange, and uniquely compelling.
