Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving near their fiftieth anniversary as a band, the Mael brothers deliver their twenty-fourth studio album with no loss of their trademark eccentricity. The record bursts with hyper-literate, theatrical art-pop, balancing grand synthesizer arrangements with highly sarcastic, anxiety-ridden observations on modern society. It continued a remarkable late-career renaissance for the cult-favorite duo.
