Album Notes & Community Reviews

Teaming up with the Go-Go's' Jane Wiedlin for the upbeat duet 'Cool Places', the Mael brothers fully committed to slick, radio-friendly synth-pop. The album relies on bright, bouncing keyboard melodies and electronic drum machines, moving away from their complex art-rock origins. The record earned them significant MTV rotation and marked their biggest commercial success in the United States.
