The Japanese shoegaze group Sphere released 'Echo and Narcissus' as their debut album, establishing their atmospheric and distorted sound. [1, 2] Grounded in the ethereal and shoegaze styles, the album features heavily processed guitars, programmed elements by producer Makoto Gomi, and the distinct vocals of Yuki Nakajo to create a soundscape that references the mythological themes of its title.
