Album Notes & Community Reviews

In an unusual and highly ambitious studio project, the legendary saxophonist pairs his legendary airy tone with intricate, wordless vocal arrangements composed by Claus Ogerman. The backing choir acts less as traditional accompaniment and more as an ethereal, synthesized texture supporting Getz's lyrical improvisations. It remains a fascinating, deeply atmospheric exploration of cool jazz integrated with choral orchestration.
