Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring incredibly sophisticated, highly swinging charts arranged entirely by Bill Holman, the famously bombastic bandleader reigns in his aggressive dissonance for a more traditional, deeply lyrical approach. The massive ensemble executes the complex, highly interwoven brass textures with flawless precision, proving the orchestra could swing with the same relaxed elegance as smaller West Coast cool groups.
