Album Notes & Community Reviews
Emerging from the working-class Handsworth area of Birmingham, this debut album served as a powerful declaration of British roots reggae identity. The band's militant Rastafarian themes and sharp political commentary resonated deeply with the concurrent punk rock movement, leading to prominent opening slots for The Clash.
