Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping out from his role as the architect of the Stax house band, the legendary guitarist offers an instrumental solo set largely focused on contemporary pop and rock covers. The stinging, economical phrasing highlights the profound impact his understated rhythm and blues style had on an entire generation of musicians.
