Where All Is Fled
by Steve Hauschildt
Following the dissolution of his influential electronic trio Emeralds, the Cleveland synthesizer virtuoso expands his solo palette significantly. The compositions move away from purely grid-based arpeggios to incorporate sweeping, free-flowing ambient washes and subtle, dub-influenced percussion. The resulting atmosphere is deeply melancholic and pastoral, evoking the feeling of observing a vast, slowly shifting landscape.
